Busan is referred to as a business and logistics hub of Northeast Asia, a global marine culture & tourist destination, and the world leading sea-port city. 

The Busan Culture & Tourism Festival Organizing Committee, formerly known as the Busan Festival and Culture Promotion Council, has contributed to development of arts and culture since its inception in 1997.

As a result, all arts and cultural events have re-organized in a systemic manner with a help of experts. These remarkable changes have supported Busan to become a city of new hope and brighter future. Moreover, a countless success in international events empowered the city to go ahead by decade.

Today, a home of 4 million citizens is leaping ahead towards a hub of international business and logistics, marine industry and tourism, and the Korea's “Ocean Capital.” To this end, a wisdom of the multitude is necessary than ever before.

In addition, I expect your active participation and kind cooperation for the great success of other upcoming festivals such as Busan Sea Festival, Busan International Rock Festival, and Busan New Year Festival.
